Seth Burgett, Founder and CEO. Seth has a background in robotics for BioTech and Medical Devices including minimal invasive robotic surgical devices for Neurology, Cardiology and surgical devices for Ophthalmology. A Technologist who has successfully commercialized technology generating revenues exceeding $100 Million, Seth stretches his teams and achieves high levels of performance from everyone involved internally and externally. Mr. Burgett has been known to lead teams through the night if needed to achieve a goal including those at Bausch and Lomb. He has led global teams, outsourcing R&D in North America, Europe and Asia and integrated technologies in strategic ventures with Siemens and Philips Medical in Europe. Seth drives the culture of his teams to three fundamental goals: transparency in communications, add value in everything we do, and always push to stretch beyond today’s standards. Mr. Burgett is an award winning speaker who earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and has attended Executive residency programs at MIT and Stanford. With over 10 years of experience in technology startups, Seth has held equity stakes in 2 prior startups, both with successful exits and is uniquely prepared to lead this venture to increased valuation.
Francis (Duke) Creighton, PhD is the Chairman of Verto’s Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Creighton is a physicist with a deep patent portfolio in magnetics, robotic surgical devices and in vivo medical devices. He is a startup veteran and has played a vital role in the development and commercialization of the devices produced by Stereotaxis, much of his work led to a successful IPO for Stereotaxis. Dr. Creighton and Mr. Burgett collaborated and share one of the early patents for the Niobe® Magnetic Navigation System in use by Cardiologists globally. Duke is an asset to the Verto team by adding value with a charter to build an aggressive IP portfolio, developing deep barriers to entry by Verto’s competition.
Moir Donelson is the Chairman of Verto's Management Advisors. Mr. Donelson holds an MBA from Harvard and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from West Point. Moir brings a background in Marketing, Strategy and Operations as a corporate leader in Fortune 100 businesses. He has nearly 20 years of leadership experience and a track record of success at Motorolla, Bain & Company, Alcoa and Olin Corporation. Mr. Donelson has been active in or has served on the board of several non-profit organizations and was nominated for the Dean's Award for exceptional leadership while at Harvard. Mr. Donelson and Mr. Burgett both reside with their families in a suburb of St. Louis and have been acquaintances since 2006. Moir is an asset to the Verto team by adding value in organizing and guiding the Management Advisors prior to forming a Board of Directors.
